We are thrilled to announce we are launching our first night market very soon. Pontardawe Market starts on Friday 5thJuly and will run 4pm – 8pm.
It’s going to be located in Herbert Street next to Pontardawe Arts Centre and will have a wide selection of delicious food, hot snacks, crafts and live music. The bar in the Arts Centre will be open for the duration of the market if you fancy a drink.
The launch of the monthly Pontardawe Market adds to our street market collection of Uplands Market, Marina Market and Mumbles Market. All the markets are designed to transform urban spaces that would otherwise be car-filled or used for a different purpose. They bring quality Welsh food and crafts to a local audience and are often used as a launch base for a new business. The costs and risk are so much lower for a trader by starting at a street market. In addition to the shopping aspect, the markets are spaces where people meet and socialise.
