Hannah is a designer and entrepreneur. She designed our HQ Urban Kitchen venue along with Director Tara, and she has project managed work for us with Hacer for their biophillic building, Caerphilly County Borough Council for meanwhile spaces in Bargoed, and she has input to various spaces under our PopUp Wales initiative.
Hannah has an outstanding eye for spaces and interior design, crucially one that is matched with an entrepreneurial mindset – she understands how spaces need to work to be viable economically, socially and environmentally.
Previously, Hannah worked in London and Sydney for International Design companies and for over 20 years was owner/operator of the Junction Cafe, Ty Junction and Wales National Pool cafes, overseeing a team of 35 staff.
She also established Mumbles Road Gallery and Chalk Paint Swansea – a retail outlet sourcing local and ethical trade products and crafts.
Alongside running the cafe enterprises, Hannah provided freelance design consulting, project management and extensive commercial and domestic design and refurbishment work across a varied portfolio.
Hannah holds a United World College – International Baccalaureate USA and a BA Hons in Interior Architecture. She took a year out in ecological settlement in Germany designing Earthen Architecture and she also holds a BTEC in Business.
Additionally, Hannah is a volunteer at Swansea’s Botanical Gardens, an organiser of the Swansea Bay 5k, and she has worked on the Sculpture by the Sea Festival. She is also a school Governor, a Welsh Athletics Coach and Netball Coach, and she is also a painter. Hannah is also mum to two hugely talented teenagers in both sports and the arts.
