The idea
The ICON project was a Reach the Heights project delivered by Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council with a range of partners in the public and third sectors. The project worked with NEET young people and through the arts helped them to: improve their confidence; improve their self-efficacy; enhance the number and quality of their peer relationships; and raise their awareness of the opportunities available to them.
What we did
We carried out Theory of Change workshop, helping the project partners to clearly define the outcomes they were seeking to achieve and to set a series of practical monitoring processes that partners and we would deliver between us. We supported partners in gathering their own quantitative and qualitative data and we gathered supplementary data independently. We collated the data and fedback to the lead partner throughout the project as part of a formative process, and we produced summative evaluation report at the end of the programme.
Results of our work
Our work was very well received by the client, with a clear set of learning outcomes and recommendations for future projects.
