Kate has over 20 years’ experience working with across all sectors and communities in a wide variety of roles. She is passionate about community voice and action to make positive changes with a strong belief that social change can happen with the right approach.
More recently, her work has focused on the impacts of climate change and how nature-based solutions (also known as green infrastructure) can provide positive ways for communities and businesses to adapt to the future, improve wellbeing, economies and support nature to thrive.
She has extensive experience of working on a wide range of topics including stakeholder engagement and participation, equity, fairness, health and wellbeing, climate change and nature-based solutions.
She has extensive experience working with the public and third sectors and with people in communities. Kate is a Member Director at the Hill Community Development Trust since 2013, has worked across Wales with Ramblers and Natural Resources Wales, and she is a volunteer at Swansea Community Farm.
A highly experienced and effective project manager, Kate has skills and experience in delivering multiple projects, programmes and contracts as well as being skilled in setting up, facilitating and maintaining partnerships.
She is a skilled facilitator and has an in depth understanding of community regeneration through asset-based approaches.
Kate also holds a Law Degree LLB and Community Regeneration MSc.
Kate is passionate about the benefits of being outdoors in good quality green space and enjoys walking, swimming, surfing, cycling and growing food.
