In 1995 a group of local volunteers and environmental professionals achieved an amazing feat, they opened Wales’ first environment centre (with Prince Charles doing the honours!). Now twenty years later the charity based at Pier Street in Swansea’s Maritime Quarter is still going strong.
On Saturday April 11th from 11am to 3pm the staff and volunteers of the Environment Centre are putting on a very special event so everyone can find out about what exactly it is they do and offer, and what has made them so successful.
Discovery Day is a an invitation to come and explore, will include children’s activities, a quiz, EC20 exhibition – the Centre’s special anniversary exhibition, art workshops, short films and homemade cakes. A day of discovery for all the family. Free entry.
