Based in Swansea, we work across the UK (though as far as possible in South Wales) with the public, private and third sectors and people in communities on a wide range of projects large and small.

We are proud to be celebrating our 20th year of business in 2024.

We have grown in the past few years, and we are looking for a Marketing and Project Support Assistant to join our team.

We offer a positive and friendly working environment. As well as being a certified BCorp, we are an accredited Real Living Wage employer, and we are committed to strong ethical employment standards. We are also a Disability Confident employer.

Specific tasks will include:

  • Support the Directors and our Lead Marketing Associate in delivering our marketing strategy.
  • Creating social media posts and content.
  • Identify/anticipate marketing opportunities and bring these to the team to act on.
  • Assist the Lead Marketing Associate in drafting briefs for creatives to follow, monitoring and supporting creatives.
  • Coordinate marketing materials such as flyers and leaflets with the designer/printers.
  • Take pictures/video at events that are appropriate for social media and website. We do not expect you to be an expert photographer/videographer, but we are looking for someone with a good eye for taking pictures/video on a smartphone).
  • Perform simple data analytics to track and report on marketing campaigns (and other data driven projects).
  • Develop and manage CRM/database and ensure it is kept up to date and in line with data protection requirements. Some experience of CRM/database will be helpful.
  • Update and maintain the company website and project websites (this will be via a content management system, whilst some understanding and experience of coding would be welcome, it is not a requirement of the role).
  • Participate in promotional activities at events and help out at various venues.
  • Brief, coordinate and oversee promotional and sessional team members that we may bring in to assist us from time to time.
  • Help to problem solve and find innovative solutions to problems if and when they arise.

  • Assist project managers with day-to-day tasks and coordination.
  • Help project events, ensuring smooth execution.
  • Support with administrative tasks and maintaining project documentation.
  • Engage in hands-on tasks, such as venue maintenance and preparation.
  • Provide logistical support by collecting, dropping off and moving key items for our various projects and running errands.
  • Other activities that we may reasonably assign you that are within your capability and grade.

You will be managed and supported by senior members of our team throughout, and on the job training will be provided to familiarise you with our systems and approaches.

Essential skills and qualifications

  • Excellent writing, articulation, spelling and grammar skills.
  • Friendly, proactive, and willing to get hands dirty.
  • Can-do attitude with a desire to get involved in all aspects of the business.
  • Ability to think on your feet and work under (reasonable!) pressure
  • Must be able to drive and have a full UK driving license

An enthusiastic attitude and a desire to work with a purpose-driven organisation like us is way more important than experience!

  • Able to work in a team and independently.
  • Organised and detail oriented.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and varied environment.
  • A confident ‘people person’.

  • The role will involve some out of hours working.
  • The role will involve some off-site lone working.
  • The ability to speak/write Welsh will be an advantage to an already strong candidate, but it is not essential.

  • Opportunity to work and learn from successful, experienced professionals.
  • Gain valuable experience in both marketing and project management.
  • Be part of a supportive and collaborative team.
